A strong industry – a strong association
The VAK represents an industry with annual sales of around three billion euros and 25,000 employees, ten percent of whom are trainees. Its 90 member companies develop and produce innovative, energy-efficient and resource-saving equipment and municipal vehicles. In addition to customers, stakeholders and employees, the resultant values also benefit society as a whole.
Founded in 1956, our association offers all member companies and the most important suppliers of parts and components a platform for developing social and statutory frameworks. Cooperation between the VAK and other associations representing the industry and users as well as its active participation in specific technical and standards committees ensure that standards and regulations are defined to meet the industry’s present-day requirements. We are also acting as an endorsing sponsor of IFAT, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management.
