VAK JUNIORS – young executives of the industry
A strong network supporting the association’s work
With objectives from the areas of digitalisation, internationalisation and talent management, the VAK Juniors support the development of the association and the industry as a whole. They thus form the internal committee of experts for the VAK member companies. In addition, they devote themselves to modern management topics, generational change in companies and provide advice on issues of the younger generation.
Digitalisation
- Promoting exchange within the association to identify synergies and the need for support
- VAK juniors as digitisation experts and industry drivers are contact persons for member companies
- Establishment of a contact network in the field of digitalisation (e.g. speakers, agencies, trainers), which member companies can draw on.
Internationalisation
- Exchange with other, sector-related associations at home and abroad, especially with the BDE

Junior projects

Social media project for Trainees
Trainees of our member companies create short videos on the following topics and put them online (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram):
- Interviews with managing directors, issues of the younger generation
- reports about the Truck in Action Show
- Accompaniment of the trainees by our VAK Juniors on site
Sustainability in companies
- For the VAK Juniors, the topic of sustainability consists of three dimensions: Social, ecological and economic sustainability. We see the greatest challenge in the balanced combination of these three dimensions.
- To implement sustainability management, a project was launched with the association Ingenieure retten die Erde e.V. (Engineers Save the Earth). In this project, the VAK juniors develop concrete measures for the entire municipal vehicle sector that lead to sustainable development.
- The VAK Juniors provide encouragement and advice to the member companies in tackling the challenges of the future.
